For further clarification-Due to a specification change from Apple, CarPlay was no longer able to be used from the center console or rear USB ports on any vehicle with software application level IR22.5 or higher.Apple CarPlay will not launch in Wrangler after plugging in the USB cable if your iPhone is locked and you haven’t allowed access in the settings.
