Remington sportsman 48.

Bought a Remington Sportsman 48 (16 gauge) from a guy at work, got it cheap because it wouldn't cycle shells out. I tore it down (pulled the bolt and the trigger) and cleaned it, now it cycles sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. This gun is a multiple-shot, single-barrel, 16 gauge, Remington Sportsman 48. It's in the best shape of the three guns, with most of the original finish intact, only minor pitting on the metal parts, and what I would call normal use wear on the wood parts. It's serial number is 3518469 in case that is of any help.

It may have been replaced upside down which will cause problems. To further break the gun down, punch out the two pins that hold the trigger group in the gun. Remove the group, then slide the bolt forward out of the gun. Then remove the buttstock and I would remove the spring that returns the bolt. It may be very dirty and gummed up.
